Little Star Outreach update for 2010 so far...

Through the Little Star Outreach, Light of Mine is shipping over 200 pieces of infant and youth apparel to the children of Haiti.  Their need for basics ie: underware, infant one pieces, toddler and youth t-shirts, blankets and more was right up our alley!  Items will go directly to areas where  children need them most through the program K.I.D.S. (Kids in Distressed Situations).

...for 2009

* This year, through YOUR continued support, we were able to fund the muscial and therapeutic aids for the Yellow Branch Elmentary School special needs classes in Bedford, Virgina.  Our Little Star Outreach put into place numerous CD's, musical instruments and physical therapy tools that will enable these little stars to move, learn and shine through the wonderful benefits of music therapy.

* Once again we were able to sponsor the Freedom in Creation Outreach in Uganda, Africa.  These returning child soilders are benefiting from new art supplies with which they create their incredible art. This is not only  a form of therapeutic healing but through the sale of their art, they are able to fund the building of clean water wells for their communities. For more information please go to www.freedomincreation.org.

* We are excited to announce that our Little Star Outreach has partnered with Brady's Smile, a parent created, non-profit organization inspired by a little star named Brady.  Together we were able to outfit every pediatric bed at the new Pittsburg Children's Hospital with age appropriate personal music players and the music to go with it!   With your continued support we are planning to reach more hopsitalized children through this amazing partnership. Little Star Points of Light program
Through our Little Star Outreach, we commit a portion of our proceeds to support outreach programs for children in need of healing. We are launching our “Points of Light” program, where we encourage our retailers to reach out in their communities by hosting “Ornament Parties”. You supply the kids, we supply the paint, ornaments, the works. Call or email for details.
